Whoopass producer kings KRAAK&SMAAK are coming to the Winston for their dj-set, not only supplying you with mindblowing music, but also visuals that go beyond your imagination.
The new Kraak & Smaak album is at a stage of "almost finished", and if the success is anything near the success of their last album, this might very well be the last time ever for you that the oppurtunity occurs to see them DJ at a venue as small as the Winston.
Furthermore, electropunkbabe Krause is performing live with her complete band. In case you were wondering who that was on all those visuals at Lowlands, it was Krause! For there's No Guts No Glory, she still wants her Pony.

Overboord komt hard! Supertof om te zien dat mensen uit verre exotische oorden als Utrecht, Leiden én Amsterdam Noord naar de Winston komen om te shinen op dat wat eigenlijk het leukste feestje in Amsterdam is, tenzij er Matjesdisco is. Pinkpop had het maar moeilijk dit weekend, en wij snappen wel waarom...

Once in a while i hear such a great song i just gotta go out and get it no matter what. So you ended up buying a whole cd for just one song. Finally that's solved with iTunes and similar sellers like beatport.
But what happens if you hear a great mashup. You still can't buy those anywhere. I wouldn't mind if you bought a packet with the three songs and the mashup. But that's not how it works.. you just de a remake. Like a band playing a cover.
The one i'm talking about is the mashup featured in the victoria secret show 2009 part 2.
and "Swedish Chris" did the same thing as i did and made a remake.
But you know dj's always are picky; a little bit more this and a longer intro, different outro and so on and so on.
And don't forget we're from Amsterdam and the Kadoc song has been around for while.
So there it was: Sex on The Nighttrain (in a bottle) - Kadoc vs. Kings of Leon vs.The Police. the DJ Jasper Weeda Version.

Music maestro!
Héhé eindelijk draait 3FM Two Door Cinema Club.
Jammer dat ze dan weer de minder goede single doen; I Can Talk:
Deze oudere single van hun is namelijk erg overboord!
Toch in de evaluatie van 2009 wat plaatjes gevonden die onder zijn gesneeuwd omdat er zo ontzettend veel gebeurde, reden te meer om ze even af te stoffen. Zaterdag hoor je onder andere deze zeker even langskomen!
Om even in de serieuze hoek te gaan, vorige week kreeg ik dezelfde dag dat BBC1 radio de plaat voor het eerst exclusief draaide deze binnen:
Werken bij de radio heeft toch zijn voordelen :) 8 februari komt het Massive Attack album uit, hou 'm in de gaten want hij klinkt verdomd goed!
Oja, nog even dit bommetje, met dank aan Punch Out Pat;
Heb het eigenlijk niet zo op Dubstep, maar dit is wel een kneiter lekkere remix! (p.s. download link beschikbaar)

Go Back To The Who?
Ruim een jaar geleden heb ik ze al in de Winston mogen verwelkomen, nu spelen ze op Noorderslag, hebben ze de 3FM megahit en waren ze in De Wereld Draait Door; het is onvermijdelijk, deze band gaat deze zomer alle festivals af! Ik heb het over Go Back To The Zoo, wiens manager Remy na het optreden van GBTTZ in de Winston zijn plaatjes mocht draaien. Dit bleek een minder goed plan; hij had niet eens cd's meegenomen!
Los daarvan is het gewoon een hele goede single, hoewel ik nog steeds liever "Beam Me Up" draai dan "Electric". Wat jullie?!
